Kizaba

(Montreal)

Lionel KIZABA, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and pioneer of Afro-Congolese electro music based in Montreal, has carved a unique musical path that takes his broad international audience on a journey into his Afrofuturist universe. With a fusion of French, English, Kikongo, and Lingala, his compositions transcend linguistic barriers. His album “Kizavibe” received multiple nominations in 2024 at the Juno Awards for Global Music Album of the Year, other awards include International Artist or Musical Group of the Year Dynastie, World Music Artist or Group of the Year Dynastie, Francophone Music Artist or Group of the Year Dynastie, and at Gamiq and ALBUM/EP WORLD.

Brothers Wilde

In the realm of music, Nolan and Ethan Wilde stand as the dynamic duo, embodying the essence of dreamers who not only dream hard but work even harder to bring their vision to life. Hailing from Kettle & Stony Point First Nation, the brothers were raised with values that shape their character — humility, hard work, and a commitment to spreading positive vibrations wherever their music takes them.

Nanook Unplugged Duo

(Nuuk, Greenland)

The songwriters of Nanook; Christian & Frederik, often performs their songs acoustic, and it’s a whole different experience to hear their vocals and guitars interpreted into a more intimate version of their songs – just like when they wrote their songs before going to the studio and record with the band. You hear much more vocals and with their guitar skills it’s a pleasure to watch and hear them unfold on stage. They perform both new and old songs and since Nanook have released 5 albums there’s lots to choose from, and this year the band’s debut album ‘Seqinitta Qinngorpaatit’ has its 15 years anniversary, so there will be, without doubt, songs performed from that album as well when the brothers perform at Alianait Art Festival for the first time ever as an acoustic duo.
