Turtle Island

Hailing from the shores of Turtle Island, this ground breaking traditional drum, Nimkii and the Niniis are a singing group based out of central Ontario, whose debut EP Nang Giizhigoong was a Juno Award nominee for Traditional Indigenous Artist of the Year at the 2022 Juno Awards. NATN was founded in the heat of the pandemic in 2020, in the means to support indigenous story tellers and to help keep the language(s) alive. The band (Drum), led by Nimkii Osawamick, performing traditional drumming and choral singing, bringing that good feeling to the world.
