Nunavut’s largest circumpolar arts event, the Alianait Arts Festival, will be taking place from June 28 – July 1. This year we are proud to present a primarily Indigenous & Inuit line-up including Nunavut artists Sam Tutanuak, Corey Panika, Joey Nowyuk, Kinngait Band and more! Headlining the festival are the dazzling Juno winning The Digging Roots, Greenland’s Small Time Giants, and two incredible collaborations. The first is our annual collaboration led by Sylvia Cloutier and Quantum Tangle; the second is Igloolik’s Artcirq, with Les Sept Doigts de la Main, back again for some amazing circus! Also sharing the stage will be multiple award-winning indigenous artists Celeigh Cardinal, Quebec’s Maten, Nick Ørbæk from Greenland, and returning to our stage is the incredible Mongolian-Persian fusion group Sedaa. The festival will be crammed full of workshops, performances and events, be sure to look at our website for the schedule and other information.
