PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT-

ALIANAIT ARTS FESTIVAL APPLICATIONS

Applications for the Alianait Arts Festival are open today. We are looking forward to a diverse selection of music from both national and international applicants, with an emphasis on Northern and Indigenous applicants.

Our applications are now open on our website at www.alianait.ca and click on Apply at the top of the page.

Deadline to apply is:

15/12/2023

Northern applications are considered Northern residency, artists who live in Nunavut, NWT, Yukon, Nunavik, Nunatsiavut, or internationally, such as Greenland, Alaska, Scandinavia, Sápmi and Russia. Northern content is considered to be where an artist’s musical performance style that is culturally or linguistically linked to Inuit or Indigenous tradition or culture.

The Alianait Arts Festival artists are selected through a selection committee who will meet after the applications have closed. Accepted artists will be contacted in in early February.
